Happy New Year!~

Megan's Yoga Journey



Why do I practice at Ayurveda Yoga?
I could practice anywhere in the world.
I could move to India.
I have no ties.
Ayurveda is beyond just practice.
Ayurveda is beyond just a yoga studio.
Ayurveda is a healing arts center.
The yogis and yoginis are good.
The atmosphere is dynamic.
The programs offered are world class.
The techniques taught are universally applicable.
There is something for everyone.
The power of this space, is that when you are ready, the doors are always open to you.
All you have to do is come~

Physically, I have lost 25lbs, but what I feel and have experienced is deeper than the body.
I feel stressed less often.
When I feel stressed, I have tools to deal with the stress.
I watch my emotions more.
I see my patterns more.
There are moments of consciousness and unconsciousness.
I am practicing.
I am practicing jumping into the moment.
Every moment is an opportunity for celebration, for happiness.
Ayurveda is continuously throwing thunderbolts that illuminate my path and when I am watching, I see and feel my path.
Thunderbolts that show my patterns, my ego, my immaturity, my desires, my potential, my beauty, my wholeness, my love.
And this is just the beginning of my journey.

Here is some info about the new classes!~


*This info is to help you make an educated choice about the right class for you
-Every class is 60 min (except Classic Level 2, which is 90 min) but may be expanded by 10-15 min.
-Class, like an orchestra's performance, there is a connection through the flowing.  For a greater satisfaction and effect, don't miss the beginning and ending rest time.
-Before class starts, watch your condition and emotional state today. Also, if you have a disease or injury, tell the teacher immediately.
-So that your body can rest and so that you are comfortable during practice, wear lose and light clothes :) More than anything, come with an open mind. Forget the things from yesterday, let go of your depressed state today. From yesterday's worries and anxieties, come back to here and now. Open your heart, so that this time that you chose becomes a chance for you to grow and transform. Into the special break that Ayurveda gives to only you ~


Classic Yoga- All level
Ayurveda's Signature program! It is based on traditional yoga, Tantrism, and it consists of about 20 important postures, which are the very basic among the 84,000,000 yoga asanas that exist. You can improve your strength to allow you to find your BodyMind balance on your own through a repeated regular practice. The easy postures have strong healing effects. Body scan and Chakra tuning at the beginning of class lead the practitioner from the complex outside world to the special healing space of yoga by awakening body sensation, and bringing consciousness back inside. During the breathing practice time, with Ayurveda's 15 years of know-how, we can watch the energy flow of our body and subtle parts of the mind.
We recommend this class for yoga beginners and practitioners who want a deep taste of traditional yoga, yoga teachers who want traditional Hatha yoga practice after practicing modern yoga techniques.
*All programs of Ayurveda are based on yoga philosophy and the vision of our Classic yoga.


Morning Classic- All Level
Brahmamuhurta. Start every day with awakened consciousness! This is Morning Classic yoga, which awakens you silently in the sacred dawn as the world sleeps.


Power Classic- All Level
Classic yoga and various postures are mixed harmoniously and bring out the hidden powerful energy inside of you. You will scrub away your unnecessary emotions and you will feel a fresh and lighter body like showing through sweating.


Classic Level- Intermediate, Advance
In this class you will practice strong and dynamic postures, which are based on traditional Hatha yoga and include advantages only of the modern yoga trend. This practice increases your spinal flexibility and strengthens your muscle power, sometimes it leads you to extreme movement, and eventually lets you jump beyond your limits. We recommend this class for people who can do Classic yoga breathing without struggling and who have practiced the alignment of basic postures for over 6 months, and beyond intermediate practitioners who want a strong physical practice and to experience a variety of postures.


Prenatal Yoga- All Level
Ayurvedas prenatal yoga class helps you to welcome your pregnancy and birthing process, which is the most creative action of life, without fear. Through the prenatal yoga teachers subtle teaching, you can understand deeply and accept the difficulty of the process of becoming a mother. Regular breathing practice and meditation will be done to let you release and relax your emotional anxiety by yourself as a pregnant woman during your pregnancy and labor, and this class teaches you the necessary postures and movement so that you can make a stable inner environment for your baby to grow well. You can prepare to learn baby massage and for the up-coming blessed moment with your husband.     
Planning for pregnancy – You will prepare your body and womb as a person who will become a mother through yoga.
Prenatal – It includes private lessons according to your week, so that mother and baby grow healthy together.
Post-natal – This class rebalances your BodyMind and will become a time to find yourself with full self-empowerment as a mother and woman.
*General practitioners who want to improve the flexibility and elasticity of their pelvis, and want a soft practice are welcome. 


Yoga Nipata- All Level
“Nipata” means collection… A self-development class with Ayurveda’s Classic yoga as a tool. In this class the core theme of yoga philosophy and theory, alternative medical science, psychological theory, which is difficult to experience in general yoga class, will be comprehended through easy language that everyone can understand, sometimes through metaphor and stories. 
Understanding from this class can occur through changes in my body directly, and lets you out from your shaking mind, unnecessary desire, which are the basic reasons that make you struggle with outside, so that you can enjoy this moment freely.   
This class is suggested as a yogic solution to allow you to reduce your desire and make your experience of life abundant.
Hatha yoga, Raja yoga, Kundalini yoga, Tantra yoga, Body work therapy, Zen Counseling, etc. are intermixed. If you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced practitioner, who wants to practice yoga sincerely, and/or a previous/current yoga teacher, you should come! 


Basic Relax & Firm- All Level
We have divided Basic class into two, relax and firm, based on yoga tradition, “asana is steady and comfortable.”
Relax – the Classic yoga sequence is the base of this class, it focuses on a comfortable feeling in the yoga posture and deep and steady breathing. 
Allow your exhausted BodyMind to stop for a while and experience self-healing in deep relaxation that brings you the possibility of infinite transformation, like: a comfortable mind, moments of no-thinking according to the experiences of yogis.
Firm- steady. The repetition of the long-holding of several important Classic yoga postures, focusing awareness on sensation of the body, and learning proper usage of the body are the goals of this class. 
By repeating the same postures, the change that you can feel your body from your body connects to your life naturally, and so that you can reach the level where you can observe and align your unbalanced posture or pain on your own.  Every practitioner is welcome who wants to raise their power of control over their body and thoughts, who wants to make their own yoga practice more sophisticated. 


Yin(Eng)- All Level
Melting into movement, experiencing deeper relaxation, and letting yourself be free from effort. This class core aspect is Yin energy, which is feminine and receptive relative to Yang energy, and the movement of this class is very soft and smooth. While you continue holding a few easy postures, watching with awareness, for a long time, you will experience new awakening of sensation from each posture. This class is open to all levels and especially we suggest this class for pregnant women, yoga beginners, and practitioners who have the purpose of resting and relaxation. An American teacher will teach in English.  


Ashtanga Yoga Inspired Vinyasa Ο & - All Level
It is inspired by K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga yoga, which is the basis of modern Vinyasa yoga and has been reconstructed to be level specific with Ashtanga Vinyasa, and Sun Salutation A, B. Especially the connection of breathing, postures, and movement are emphasized, especially so that you can find your own Vinyasa Flow in a meditative experience that transcends the dimension of BodyMind. All levels can come, including beginners.
Vinyasa Ο – Mixing Sun Salutation A, B, Classic yoga, and Yin yoga. An American teacher will teach this class in English.
Vinyasa I- A short Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga sequence


Flow- All Level
This class makes you free from the tension of your body and lets the energy flow freely by connecting prana energy, which flows in our body, and continuous Hatha yoga postures. A variety of music will be used in every class and you can move your smallest muscles rhythmically to follow the feeling of the moments so that the sensation of deep dimensions will be awakened. There are various postures and movements, which include free-style sequence from basic to advanced postures, and sometimes it can be mixed with aspects of dance therapy, when necessary.
